Cefotetan sodium for injection is a cephalosporin antibiotic indicated for infections caused by bacteria sensitive to this product, such as upper and lower respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections including uncomplicated gonorrhea, peritonitis, and other intra-abdominal or pelvic infections, sepsis (including typhoid fever), gynecological infections, bone or joint soft tissue infections, and endocarditis. This product is effective against anaerobes and stable against beta-lactamases, making it suitable for mixed aerobic and anaerobic infections, as well as infections caused by beta-lactamase-producing bacteria sensitive to this product.
